The magnificent 940 year old Chichester Cathedral is a living church with a spire that dominates the horizon for miles around. Chichester Cathedral offers a varied programme of guided tours, delivered by a team of enthusiastic and knowledgeable Guides. I. General Guided Tour This tour is ideal if you have not visited the Cathedral before, encompassing all aspects of the Cathedral including its history, art and architecture.
The tour length can be adjusted to suit your itinerary. II. Behind the Scenes Visit three areas of the Cathedral normally closed to the public - the Song School, dating from the early 1500s, the Cathedral Library, and the 13th century Bishop's Chapel, the private chapel of the Bishop of Chichester. Please note that some of these spaces are reached only by a winding spiral staircase. III. The Art of Chichester Cathedral The Cathedral is home to a significant collection of art, designed to inspire and challenge visitors. From medieval paintings and sculpture to Victorian glass work and contemporary paintings.

By vehicle, approach from the M27 (A27) and turn northwards at one of the bypass roundabouts following signs for the city centre. The Cathedral is less than a 10 minute walk from Chichester's Train Station, and is opposite a bus stop.
